About the event
Hi everyone, I’m Carl Bayliss. I’ve spent over 30 years working across some of the world’s most exciting automotive brands, including Aston Martin, Bugatti, Ferrari, Infiniti, Nissan, and Porsche, in roles that have taken me across continents and through some huge industry shifts.
But here’s the part that matters for today: none of that started with a perfect plan. It started with curiosity, a willingness to say yes before I felt ready, and a belief that careers aren’t discovered — they’re built, step by step, decision by decision.
So today, I want to share the lessons I learned the hard way, the opportunities I didn’t see coming, and the mindset that helped me turn uncertainty into momentum. If you leave this room believing that your next step can be bigger than you thought, then we’ve done something worthwhile together.
